The Prod Crate public beta opens October 14
After eight months of private testing with 1,200 producers, DJs, and engineers, anyone can join on October 14. What’s in it, what it costs, and what happens to your waitlist spot.

On October 14, Prod Crate opens to everyone. Since February, 1,200 producers, DJs, and engineers have run their libraries on it in private testing, and between them they’ve uploaded 41 million files. That testing shaped almost every part of what ships next month.
What’s in the beta
- The Mac app, with your whole library as a location in the Finder sidebar
- The web app, with search by instrument, key, and BPM
- Inbox Sorting for files from Splice, YouTube rips, SoundCloud downloads, and anything else you drop in
- Project safety for Ableton Live sets, with version history on every file
- Prod Crate for iPhone, through TestFlight until it reaches the App Store
What it costs
The plans and prices are the ones on the pricing page. Free stays free, and every paid plan starts with a 14-day trial with nothing charged until it ends. If you’ve been in the private beta, your library and plan carry over as they are.
If you’re on the waitlist
Invites go out in waitlist order from October 14, about 2,000 a day, so first syncs stay fast for everyone. The link in your invite holds your spot for seven days. Joining the waitlist now still gets you in during the first week.
