Work down this list; it is roughly in order of how often each one turns out to be the answer.
1. It is still being analysed
A file becomes searchable when its analysis finishes, not when its upload does. That is seconds for one sample and several minutes for a large pack. The menu bar shows what is still in the queue.
2. One of your words became a filter
Check the chips above the results. A stray number is read as BPM, so kick 808 narrows harder than you meant. Remove the chip and the result usually appears.
3. Its key or BPM is wrong
Detection struggles with very short one-shots, noise and heavily processed material. If you filtered by key or BPM, a wrongly detected value hides the file. Search by name instead, then correct the field in the info panel.
4. It is not audio
Prod Crate analyses .wav, .aiff, .flac, .mp3 and .m4a, and indexes project files by name. Anything else in your library — a PDF, a MIDI file, an image — is findable by filename and folder only.
5. It is not in your library
Shared crates are searchable only while you are a member. If someone removed you, or the crate was deleted, its files leave your results. Check Recently deleted too — deleted files are excluded from search for the 30 days they sit in the bin.
If none of that explains it, email support with the exact filename. We can see whether the file was indexed and, if it was not, why.
